As the UK’s premier partner to Burkert we are able to offer one of the most extensive ranges of solenoid valves available. Solenoid valves are most frequently used to control elements in fluidics; therefore high reliability and long service life are important when choosing your preferred solenoid valve manufacturer.
With over 50 years experience in solenoid valves, Burkert are able to fulfil all your requirements whether you need a solenoid valve to isolate, release, dose, control, distribute or mix gases and fluids. All these solenoid valves are available to suit a variety of tube connections and fittings.
Working closely with Burkert, Fine Controls are able to provide a range of solenoid valves that encompass all the key features required in a solenoid valve such as fast and safe switching, compact designs, wide choice of body and seal materials, all common voltages both vacuum and positive pressure solenoid valves etc.
Where most solenoid valve manufacturers offer only plunger operated solenoid valves Fine Controls offer the best solenoid valve principle for your application, with the additional choice of rocker armature solenoid valves for high cycle duties and also pivoted armature solenoid valves which offer high reliability and media separation to reduce internal corrosion from aggressive medias. Our range can be installed in both OD tube and nominal bore pipe systems with a choice of end fittings to suit.
Solenoid valves are electromechanical devices which work by passing and electrical current thorough a solenoid, thereby changing the state of the valve. Usually, there is a mechanical element used to hold the valve in its default position. Often this is a spring. The standard components of solenoid valves are: Valve body, plunger seal, O-rings, armature guide tube, plunger, spring, shading ring, stopper, flange, bonnet, coil, flat seal, cable plug and locknut.
Fine Controls (UK) Ltd supply the Burkert range of Solenoid Valves which are based on a modular concept comprising three basic elements: Valve assembly, push-over coil and standard cable plug. The servo-system with coupled diaphragm/armature assembly and armature guide tube is mounted on the valve body. The coil is pushed over the armature guide tube and thus isolated from the medium. The coil is also sealed at both ends to prevent exposure to the environment. Wide selections of pipe and orifice sizes are offered. Also fittings and tube endings can be supplied for the Fine Controls range of analytical valves.
With Solenoid valve size options from M5 to DN65 and body materials in Brass, st/st, PVC, Cast Iron, PP, PTFE, PVDF and seal materials in Buna, Viton®, EPDM, PTFE, Kelraz, Metal etc, we are able to offer a solenoid valve for the most demanding application.
For the direct mounting of solenoid valves on to actuators we offer either banjo mounted solenoid valves or valves manufactured to the standard Namur interface. To meet the need for valves to be used in hazardous areas Burkert offers a wide range of ATEX certified solenoid valves. Fine Controls can also offer a range of direct acting and servo-assisted proportional solenoid valves which can be used as an ideal compacty control valve solution for duties including pressure, temperature or flow control.
Using our extensive online solenoid valve catalogue you will be able to select the appropriate solenoid valve along with full technical data sheets and IOM’s. Should you require any appropriate tube and fittings to suit our range of solenoid valves please feel free to call our sales office.
