As the UK’s sole distributor for Fairchild Industrial Products, Fine Controls are able to offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of i/p converters available. I/p converters are used to convert electrical input signals into pneumatic outputs.
Traditionally, i/p converters were used to convert 4-20 mA signals into
3-15 psi outputs. Nowadays, the Fairchild range of i/p converters can accept
both voltage and current input signals from zero up to 50 mA or 12Vdc. Extended
range i/p converters can give output pressure of up to 150 psi.
All Fairchild i/p converters can accept mains air pressure without the need
for a separate regulator.
- Fairchild T5200 series of i/p converters are available with built in
volume boosters for high flow applications.
- Fairchild T6000 series of i/p converters are the ideal choice for panel
mounting, but rack mounting and manifold mounting versions of this i/p converter
are available.
- Fairchild T7800 series of i/p converters are solid-state devices offering
the same flexibility as the T6000 i/p converter, but are immune to vibration
and insensitive to mounting position.
- Fairchild T7900 series of i/p converters uses feed and bleed technology
to give an i/p converter that consumes no air at set point.
- Fairchild T7950 series of i/p converters uses the same technology to give
an i/p converter with built in PID control and Device Net communications.
In addition, intrinsically safe, explosion proof and field mount options are available on many of the above i/p converters. The latest i/p converter in the T7800 range can use ‘gas’ as the control media and is fully ATEX certified.
