CHEMICAL SEALS
The Bourdon range of chemical seals is designed for industrial, food processing & pharmaceutical applications. Mounted directly or remotely to a pressure gauge or transmitter they enable pressure measurement in various tough conditions were aggressive, viscous or crystallizing medias are being used. The media is isolated from the sensing element by a diaphragm and pressure transmission is achieved by a neutral fluid filling being displaced when pressure is applied to the diaphragm. We are able to offer a wide range of seals including overpressure limiting seals, probe chemical seals, hygienic seals etc. |

TYPE 1020
The type 1020 is used for indirect pressure measurement of media containing solid particles. Commonly used in the paper & paint industries. For pressure ranges 1.6-40bar this seal can be used for direct or remote mounting of gauges. Max temperature up to 80c constant or 140c for 1/2hr. Other temperature up to max 300c available on request.

These one piece chemical seals are designed are designed for measuring pressures between 1 & 250bar and to work between temperature ranges -60c - +200c. Should the protected instrument be removed from the seal the diaphragm within the seal ensures a leak proof sealing of the system. The monobloc seal system offers a low cost solution but is not suitable for use in environments with strong pressure variations or strong over pressure.

For use on pressure ranges 1 – 600barg these units are ideal when space is limited or a quick assembly is needed. With male process connections from DN15 – DN50 and an all st/st construction.

Diaphragms within this range are available in a wide choice of materials including Hastelloy, Tantaalum & Monel 400 & a choice of process connections.
