HIGH FLOW PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM

Application:

To design a system to pressurise large voids within an aircraft. The pressurisation needed to be carried out very quickly and must always be with in 0.1PSI of the required pressure. Therefore a system with high accuracy, speed of response, sensitivity and quick exhaust capability was required

Solution:

A large manifold system was designed and manufactured using products from our key suppliers Burkert and Fairchild. The system used a DN300 flanged pipe manifold fitted with extremely high flow volume boosters, receiving a pilot signal from an I-P converter and a command signal from a bespoke PLC. The evacuation of the vessel was dealt with using DN100 Burkert valves fitted with their type 8630 intelligent positioners.
